In Cult of the Lamb, the player character, an adorable but possessed lamb, has their life saved by an ominous deity as repayment, they must form a cult to appease the deity, growing its following. The cute art style and comparisons to Hades and Animal Crossing: New Horizons will draw potential players in, but the game truly stands alone as its own experience with an intriguing story, a haunting score, and a world that grows more and more alive the longer you stay in it. You will not be able to do it all alone in order to spread the word you must train your flock on the ways of the faith as you focus more on exploring the five mysterious regions, scouring them off nonbelievers, and performing rituals to ascend you further to godhood.Ĭult of the Lamb has the potential to be one of the next big indie hits.The world itself will be randomly generated, the fight hordes of enemies and rival religious leaders to absorb their power and follow to your own, and assert your dark god’s dominance.In order to build your flock, you must have a functional base of operations, collect and use resources to build new structures, perform dark rituals to win favor from your dark god, and give sermons to your flock to reinforce their faith.
